General
Can I enroll if I have no experience in the beauty industry?
Yes, absolutely! No experience is required. Our courses are designed for motivated beginners as well as professionals looking to improve. What you need above all: passion and commitment.Do we practice on real models?
Yes. After learning the theory and practicing on latex, you will move on to practicing on live models — always under supervision and with personalized guidance. Is the kit included?
Yes, a complete kit is provided for the basic course and the microblading course to allow you to practice independently after the training. Will I receive a certificate at the end of the training?
Yes, a certificate of participation will be given to you at the end of the training. You can start practicing this activity immediately after completing our courses. How many people are in each group?
The courses are in small groups (1 to 4 people) to ensure personalized attention for each student. Can I pay in installments?
Yes. A 30% deposit is required to reserve your spot. The balance can be paid up to 10 days before the training. Contact us to discuss a possible payment plan.Is there follow-up after the training?
Yes, and it's one of the strengths of our method. Ioana remains available to guide you even after the training, whether for technical or business advice. What if I can't attend all the days?
Contact us as soon as possible. Depending on availability, we will try to find a solution (rescheduling, private session, etc.).
For beginners
Do I need any prior beauty or PMU experience?
No. Foundation training is designed for motivated beginners with no PMU background. Many of my students come from outside beauty entirely — what matters is your commitment, not your starting point. Is there an age limit?
None I've ever observed. My students range from women in their early twenties to women in their fifties starting a second career. PMU has nothing to do with age.Which language is the training in?
English or French — you choose. The theory module, live Zoom sessions, and in-person training are all conducted in your selected language. What if I can't keep up — do I get a redo?
The training is structured so no one falls behind — small group, paced progression, with theory delivered before the in-person work begins. If you finish feeling unsure on a specific aspect, lifetime support means you can come back to me with questions for as long as you're practicing. What kind of clients can I expect in my first year?
Most students start with friends, family, and word-of-mouth referrals at modest pricing for the first 5–10 clients (portfolio-building phase). After that, you transition to full pricing — typically €280–400 per treatment depending on your local market. By month six, most students have a base of 15–25 regular clients.Do I need a license to practice in the EU?
Regulations vary by country. In Belgium specifically, PMU is regulated under hygiene and dermo-aesthetics frameworks — Day 1 of the training covers what you need to operate compliantly. For practice in another EU country, we cover the principles, but local registration is your responsibility (and we discuss country-specific requirements during the course).
For working artists
How does this differ from PhiAcademy advanced courses?
PhiAcademy teaches PhiBrows and its variations within the Phi system. I'm a certified PhiBrows Artist myself — so I respect that foundation. What I add are techniques I created (Royal Powder, Belinii Lips), the business positioning I learned through an MBA, and the perspective of someone who judges international competitions. We're not competing with Phi. We're filling what comes after. What if I trained with someone other than PhiAcademy for fundamentals?
That's fine — most of my students did. The Refining and Hairstroke courses don't assume any specific brand training, just that you have a foundation in machine technique and skin handling. Is the Mentorat one-on-one or group?
Strictly 1:1. That's why a discovery call is required first — to make sure the fit is right before either of us commits to six months. Can I split the payment?
Yes. Payment plans are available for all courses above €1,000. We discuss specifics in the application response. What if I'm not based in Brussels?
Most students aren't. Hairstroke Masterclass and Perfectionnement are intensive in-person formats — students travel from across Europe and stay locally for the duration. I can provide accommodation recommendations after acceptance. Mentorat has a remote option. What does "lifetime support" actually mean?
After your course, you have access to me directly for technical questions about your work, healed-result reviews, and follow-up consultations. Not a Slack group with a thousand strangers. Direct access, for as long as you're practicing.
For champions
Which competitions do you actually judge?
Primarily WULOP and PMU industry competitions across Europe. I've also sat on regional juries in Benelux and as a guest judge at international expos. The criteria I teach come from those tables directly — not from coaching theory. How do I know if my work is competition-ready?
Send three healed-result photos with your application. I'll tell you honestly. "Ready" usually means: consistent technique under pressure, healed retention you can predict, and a portfolio that shows range, not just one favorite shape. Can you review a piece I've already submitted to a competition?
Yes. Post-mortems are part of every Mentorat track and can be booked as standalone consultations. I'll show you what likely scored, what likely didn't, and the design adjustments most judges would want to see.Do I need to bring my own model for the Masterclass?
No. I source models locally in Brussels and match them to the technique we're working on. If you have a specific case (e.g. a competition piece on someone in your network), bring them — but it's not required. What if I train with you and don't place?
Most artists need more than one cycle to podium internationally. The value of the training isn't the trophy — it's compressing the learning curve from years to months. Students who don't place in their first competition almost always place in their second. How far ahead of a competition should I book?
Three to four months out is ideal. That gives time for the masterclass, two healing cycles on practice pieces, and one full rehearsal of your submission. Booking inside six weeks works for refinement, but not for technique changes.
Formation de Base
Can I enroll if I have no experience in the beauty industry?
Yes. The Foundation Course is designed for motivated beginners. Many of my students come from outside beauty entirely — what matters is your commitment, not your starting point. How many people in each group?
One to four students per cohort. Small enough for personal attention, large enough for the dynamic of learning alongside others. Is the kit included in the price?
Yes. A complete professional kit is included so you can begin practicing immediately after certification. Will I receive a certificate?
Yes — a certificate of participation upon completion of the full course. Can I pay in installments?
A 30% deposit is required to reserve your spot. The balance must be paid 10 days before the course starts. Discuss specific payment timing in your application.Where does the course take place?
At Royal Beauty Center, Brussels — my studio.Do we practice on live models?
Yes. Six models across the five days. Practice on latex first, then on live clients under my supervision. What if I can't attend all five days?
Attendance for all five days is required for certification. If you have scheduling constraints, the 1:1 format may give you flexibility. Is there follow-up after the training?
Yes — lifetime support, direct access to me for ongoing questions and review.
Hairstroke Masterclass
How many people in each group?
Maximum two students per masterclass. Tight, focused, with significant individual time. What's the difference between Hairstroke Masterclass and Perfectionnement?
Hairstroke Masterclass is dedicated entirely to one technique — hyperrealistic hairstroke. Perfectionnement is for refining your overall PMU work across techniques, recommended for students who completed Foundation with me.Do I need to have done microblading before?
Some prior brow technique experience is recommended, but not strictly required. Hairstroke is machine-based and differs from microblading — many students learn it as their first hair-by-hair technique. What if I'm not based in Brussels?
Most students aren't. Hairstroke Masterclass is intensive in-person — students travel from across Europe. I can provide accommodation recommendations after acceptance. Can I pay in installments?
A 30% deposit reserves your spot. Discuss specific payment timing in your application. What does "lifetime support" actually mean?
After your course, you have direct access to me for technical questions about your work, healed-result reviews, and follow-up consultations. For as long as you're practicing.
Perfectionnement
Do I need to have trained with you before to enroll?
Recommended but not required. Most students who take Perfectionnement come from other foundation programs. What matters is that you have a foundation and active client work to refine. What's the difference between the 1-day and 2-day formats?
The 1-day intensive (€1,300) is a focused diagnostic + correction session on one technique. The 2-day standard (€1,900) covers diagnostic on day one and a supervised live model on day two. Pick the 2-day if you want hands-on time on a model with my eyes on you.How many people in the cohort?
Maximum two students. Tight, focused, with significant individual attention. Can I bring photos of my own work to discuss?
Yes — and you should. Bring 5–10 healed-result photos. We'll diagnose together where the work is strong and where the gap is.Is this where you teach Royal Powder Brows or Belinii Lips?
The signature techniques are introduced at refinement level when the student's foundation supports them. Whether they're covered in your specific session depends on what you walk in needing. Can I pay in installments?
A 30% deposit reserves your spot. Discuss specific payment timing in your application.
Championship Masterclass
Which competitions does this prepare me for?
International PMU competitions broadly — WULOP, The Queen's Night, PMU Beauty World, and others. The criteria across major circuits overlap significantly. We focus on what wins, not what's specific to one event. Will you tell me which competition to enter?
I'll give you my honest read on which competitions match your level and your work. The decision stays yours. Can I bring an existing piece for review?
Yes — and you should. Bring photos of work you're considering submitting. We critique together. What if I'm submitting a hairstroke piece and want technique help?
Hairstroke Masterclass has a championship preparation option (€2,250) that combines the technique training with championship-specific coaching. That may be the better fit if you want both. Can I pay in installments?
A 30% deposit reserves your spot. Discuss specific timing in your application.
Remover Training
Do I need foundation PMU training first?
Not strictly — removal can be learned as a standalone specialty. But understanding how pigment is deposited helps you understand how to remove it, so prior PMU experience is a strong asset. What product is used?
[To be confirmed by Ioana — specific remover product/brand]Can I do removal on someone else's PMU work?
Yes — that's most of the work. Most clients seeking removal didn't get the original work from you.How many sessions does removal typically take per client?
It varies by depth, age of the original pigment, and skin type. Most cases require 2–4 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. We discuss this in the course.
Mentorat
Is Mentorat technique training?
No. Mentorat is business mentorship — strategy, systems, leadership. If you're looking for technique mentoring, see Hairstroke Masterclass or Perfectionnement. Why is it online?
Business work happens between sessions, not in them. Online format lets us meet weekly without travel, and lets you implement between sessions in your own studio. Can I do Mentorat if I don't have a salon yet?
Yes — if you're seriously building toward one. Some students enroll while still solo, using the four months to build the foundation before they hire or move into a larger space. What if four months isn't enough?
It's enough to put a structure in place that you can run for years. Some students choose to extend or return for a second cohort later — that's optional, not assumed. Can I pay in installments?
Yes. Discuss specific payment timing during your discovery call.
Royal Powder Brows
How long does Royal Powder Brows last?
Royal Powder Brows typically lasts 18–36 months before requiring a refresh, depending on skin type, sun exposure, skincare products, and individual metabolism. Combination and oily skin tend to fade slightly faster than dry to normal skin.Is Royal Powder Brows painful?
Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to minimize sensitivity. Pain tolerance varies by individual. How is Royal Powder Brows different from microblading?
Microblading deposits pigment in linear hair-like strokes using a manual blade. Royal Powder Brows uses a machine to deposit pigment as fine pixelated shading across the brow. The result is softer, more uniform, and typically more durable on combination, oily, and mature skin. How is Royal Powder Brows different from ombre brows?
Standard ombre brows create a graduated effect from a darker tail to a softer front, but use a more uniform shading approach. Royal Powder Brows uses a specific pixelation and layering method designed to maintain its graduated effect through healing, particularly on skin types where conventional ombre blurs. Can I get Royal Powder Brows over existing PMU work?
It depends on the existing work. If the previous PMU is significantly faded and the underlying shape is still suitable, Royal Powder Brows can often be applied directly. If the existing pigment is too saturated or the shape needs adjustment, a removal session may be recommended first. How much does a Royal Powder Brows treatment cost?
Treatment pricing is set by individual artists trained in the technique. As an artist trained in Royal Powder Brows, you set your own pricing based on your market and positioning. Training pricing is listed in the courses where this technique is taught. Can I learn Royal Powder Brows if I'm just starting out in PMU?
Royal Powder Brows is taught at advanced level. New PMU artists should complete a foundation course (Formation de Base) first, then return for the advanced training where Royal Powder Brows is included.
Belinii Lips
How long does Belinii Lips last?
Belinii Lips typically lasts 18–30 months before requiring a refresh. Lips fade faster than brows due to the natural skin turnover of the lip tissue and exposure to food, drink, and lip products. Color metabolism varies by individual. Is Belinii Lips painful?
Lips are more sensitive than brow skin, so the procedure can feel more intense. A strong topical numbing cream is used before and during the work, which significantly reduces sensitivity. Most clients describe it as manageable rather than painful. How is Belinii Lips different from regular lip blush?
Regular lip blush typically uses a single-pass saturated approach, which works well on warm-undertoned, symmetrical lips. Belinii Lips uses a multi-layer pigment approach designed to address darker undertones, asymmetrical shapes, and cases where standard lip blush has historically failed. Can I get Belinii Lips if I have cold sores (HSV)?
Clients with a history of cold sores require antiviral medication before the procedure to prevent an outbreak. The lip pigmentation procedure can trigger latent HSV. A consultation will determine the right protocol. Will Belinii Lips look like lipstick?
No — Belinii Lips is designed to enhance natural lip color rather than create a bold lipstick effect. The result reads as "your lips, but better and more even" rather than visibly tinted. How much does a Belinii Lips treatment cost?
Treatment pricing is set by individual artists trained in the technique. As an artist trained in Belinii Lips, you set your own pricing based on your market and positioning. Training pricing is listed in the courses where this technique is taught. Can I learn Belinii Lips if I've never done lip blush before?
Belinii Lips is taught at intermediate-to-advanced level. Some prior lip blush or lip pigmentation experience is recommended, but it can also be learned alongside the foundation if the artist commits to extended practice.
