20+ Years in Beauty
Twelve years in classical aesthetics. Eight in permanent makeup. The whole arc of the profession.
Permanent makeup, taught the way
I wish I had been taught.
Master PMU artist, international speaker, competition judge. Founder of Royal Beauty Center, Brussels. The training I offer is the answer to fifteen years of asking what was missing in everyone else's.
Ioana Varzaru

I came to permanent makeup after twelve years in classical aesthetics — and found a profession at a turning point.
PMU was growing fast. The training wasn't. Two-day mastery promises, online theory without the legal frameworks, trainers passing on what they'd been taught without questioning it.
Eight years later, I run my studio in Brussels, train artists across Europe, and judge international competitions. The work deserves better training than the industry currently provides.
That is what I am building.
PMU is one of the few skilled professions where someone trained well in five days can build a career with no ceiling. It is also one of the few where someone trained poorly in five days will reach a permanent ceiling within their first year — and never know why.
The difference is not talent. The difference is what was actually taught.
I believe technique is half the work. The other half is what surrounds it: how you set up your studio, how you price your work, how you communicate with clients, how you photograph your results, how you handle the cases that don't heal as expected.
I believe small cohorts produce better artists than large ones. I believe lifetime support means more than ten thousand pages of curriculum. I believe critique is more useful than encouragement. I believe most students who feel stuck aren't lacking talent — they're lacking the right teacher.
This is the work I offer. It's the work I wish I'd had when I started.

The students who train with me come from across Europe and beyond. They tend to share three things, regardless of where they are in their career.
Mastery is years of work, not five days of class.
Clear, specific feedback — with the context to fix it.
